Till recently, we haven’t done any brewing since the double brew day.  That filled up our queue a bit, so we took some time of and concentrated on drinking the fruits of our labor.

Black Tornado and Autumn Ale have been drank.  The Two Hearted clone has also come and gone.  The Two Hearted clone went rather quickly.  (That says a lot about how it turned out)

So, what’s on tap now?  We still have some Mistress Jade from Sherwood Brewery on tap.  The English Pub Ale and the Fat Tire clone from the double brew day are also both in the keezer.  And, the cider that we did last October was finally ready to keg, and is now on tap also.  Marty is very happy with the way that turned out.

As for what’s in the queue, one of the local cider mills had apples left over from the fall harvest, so they did a spring pressing of cider.   We grabbed 5 gallons, and started a batch with an ale yeast.  (We did a champagne yeast on the first batch)  That means we should have some cider to serve in the fall.  Last weekend, we did a continually hopped IPA  based on a Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA clone recipe, but substituted some of the hops with what was currently available.   3 ounces of hops, with additions every 2 1/2 minutes.  That’s sitting in the primary right now, and should be moved to secondary sometime next week.

I think I’m going to be setting my father up with a 2 keg system for their 50th anniversary party, and will be doing a Stella clone, and some sort of dark hoppy beer for them.
